What can I get my mom for Christmas/Birthday?
My moms birthday is Dec 21 and then Christmas is right after that. I have gotten her a few things like some candles, socks, a picture frame that I’m going to put pictures of my sisters and I in. I don’t have any idea on what else I can get her. She has all the clothes she needs. She lives with her boyfriend and his house is plain white and has no color in it or nothing so I was thinking of getting her something to put in her house, but I don’t know what to get. Her boyfriend just bought a house in Colorado so the house is all hers now until he comes back now and then. Any suggestions on what I could get her??

Colorful rug? New bath towels? Kitchen canisters with something she likes on them (chile peppers, frogs, whatever), kitchen towel set, spice rack?

I don’t know your financial situation, but I think it’d be sweet to get her, say, some nice earrings for her birthday….and then on christmas, get her a matching pendant necklace. It’ll tie the two events together without one overshadowing the other

My mother-in-law got us a toaster oven for our house-warming, and it’s the best gift I’ve ever gotten. If you’re going for practical, check those out.

They also make the little digital picture key chains, and those are pretty cool, too.

I’ll tell you something I’m planning on doing for myself & my mom…takes a bit of dedication, though. I went to a lady’s house once who had a poster frame (you can by them @ Wal-Mart for $10 & up) full of pictures & little keepsakes. For instance, there may be a picture of her daughter in a beauty review & beside it would be the contestant number that was pinned to her dress in the picture. Anyway,…it was SO neat. She said the collage was a present from her daughter & the best one she’d ever gotten. Great way to combine a lifetime of memories into one nice, neat, contemporary frame. Hope this helps. Happy holidays to you.

If you truelly would like to get something for your mother get something for her not the house. Being a mother, I would love anything my children give me, but the gifts I like the most is things they have made. Maybe a stepping stone set- that is made from the children get your brothers and sisters together and make the plaster and maybe a handprint and footprint with your birthday and name on the one that each person made. Has long as some thought is put into it and it came from the heart I am sure it would be loved.
