Where to go celebrate 21st birthday with family and young children?

My 21st Birthday
I live in Orange County (Huntington/Newport Beach area) CA and I was wondering where to go to dinner or so to celebrate my 21st birthday? We have a 7 year old and 1 year old with us as well. Our first idea was possibly Vegas but its not really age appropriate.
We can travel for about 4 hours or so in either directions…
Any ideas?

How about a break from the big city?
San Luis Obispo/Pismo Beach area would be an amazing alternative.

How about Laughlin? It’s a lot more kid-friendly than Vegas. In fact,your 8YO LOVES when we go to the Avi, about 10miles south of Laughlin. They have the best pool in the desert, they are right on the Colorado River, and they have a “kids club” that our daughter keeps asking about. You can drop the kids off, and go hang out in the casino. They also have a movie theater on the premesis if you want to catch the latest movie. http://avi-casino.com/kids.html
